• The Republic and the Sith Empire now exist as two separate governments in a state of Cold War
• A Sith invasion sacked Coruscant and destroyed the Jedi Temple while holding the Senate hostage
• All control has been handed down to the dark council
• The surrendered, former-Republic star systems are now maintained by the Imperial military
• The establishment of the Sith Empire has led to the recruitment and training of those who are Force-sensitive
• The Jedi Council has withdrawn to their home world, Tython
• The Republic is rebuilding its defense by developing new squads of special forces to team with Jedi
